The White Mink Hair Salon, located in Newark, Delaware, was founded by Donna Krom. She took an early retirement from the corporate world to follow her lifelong dream of owning a hair salon.
Donna’s hair salon took off successfully, drawing in customers and creating profits from the opening day. She felt thrilled to pursue a career she was passionate about.
However, Delaware issued a statewide shutdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic, affecting thousands of businesses, including White Mink Hair Salon. Without customers, Donna needed capital to keep her salon afloat. She applied for ERC with a different organization but found the process difficult and confusing.
