Director, Partnerships

About Us: NEWITY is America’s Source for Small Business Capital, focused on empowering entrepreneurs with access to trusted loan solutions. We are looking for a Business Partnerships Associate to join our team.

Job Summary: The Director of Partnerships will own the strategy and execution of NEWITY’s key partnerships, playing a critical role in driving revenue growth and expanding NEWITY’s presence in the small business and fintech ecosystem. This role will lead end-to-end partner lifecycle management and collaborate closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to design, negotiate, and scale high-impact, long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy and pipeline for partnerships that align with NEWITY’s growth objectives and target segments.
  • Source, evaluate, and close partnerships with financial institutions, fintechs, and key service providers from outreach through contracting.
  • Grow existing partnerships through regular business reviews, performance optimization, and upsell/cross-sell initiatives.
  • Represent NEWITY at conferences, industry events, and partner meetings, including regular travel, to build brand presence and executive-level relationships.
  • Partner with marketing, product, risk, and operations to scope, launch, and scale partnership initiatives with clear business cases, goals, and timelines.
  • Own partnership performance dashboards, KPIs, forecasts, and senior leadership reporting, providing data-driven recommendations to improve results.
  • Collaborate with legal and finance on deal structures, pricing, and contract terms to ensure attractive, scalable agreements.
  • Mentor junior team members and help build processes, playbooks, and best practices for the business development function.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 5–10 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or channel sales, ideally in fintech, financial services, or B2B SaaS.
  • Established working relationship with a network of banks and fintech leaders.
  • Demonstrated success in sourcing, structuring, and closing complex, multi-stakeholder partnerships that drive measurable revenue or volume.
  • Strong negotiation and executive-level communication skills, with the ability to influence internally and externally.
  • Highly analytical, comfortable building and interpreting performance dashboards, forecasting, and using data to shape strategy.
  • Proven ability to operate as a self-starter in a fast-paced, remote-first, high-growth environment, with a bias toward ownership and outcomes.

Salary
  • $100,000-$130,000 per year + commission bonus
