NEWITY is America’s Small Business Marketplace, focused on empowering entrepreneurs with access to trusted service providers and loan solutions. We are looking for a Loan Servicing Specialist to join our Operations team.
In this role, you will act as a liaison between Members and the Company’s internal departments. The Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for ensuring loan obligations are met in a timely manner while demonstrating empathy and resolving problems swiftly. You will provide expert care while maintaining an upbeat attitude toward customers to foster positive experiences. We are seeking candidates who can adapt quickly to changes in a fast-paced environment, are eager to take on new challenges, and who feel comfortable working with the unknown.
Qualifications
- Loan servicing and operations experience is a must
- Excel proficiency is a must
- Demonstrated patience and empathy when managing difficult conversations
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage a wide range of situations over the phone and email with tact and diplomacy
- Effective time management and self-accountability
- Able to multi-task under time pressure
- Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to take on challenges
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
- Comfortable working and learning independently
Description & Responsibilities
- Develop an in-depth understanding of loan products and terms
- Help Members navigate technology and payment process
- Collect payments on past-due loans
- Draft financial reporting and operational reports related to loan portfolio performance
- Minimize portfolio risk
- Partner with Members to understand the reasons for delinquencies and plan a path forward
- Provide Members with clear and concise responses to questions regarding their loans and applications
- Assist in generating delinquency letters and notifications
- Field calls related to making past due payments or other loan servicing questions
- Assist the operations team with other ad hoc projects
Salary: $45,000 – $55,000 per year
