Legal Analyst

Location:  Chicago, IL (on-site)

NEWITY is America’s Source for Small Business Capital, focused on empowering entrepreneurs with access to trusted loan solutions. We are looking for a Legal Analyst to join our Legal Department.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Analyst to join our Legal Department. In this role, your primary responsibility will be conducting a final review of all loan packages to ensure SBA and bank compliance prior to final attorney review. Additionally, you will support the legal department by, among other things, providing general administrative support on all legal matters, maintaining and organizing the firm’s legal records, supporting contract review, coordinating contract execution, managing contracts using contract management software, as well as completing forms and filing documents with legal information about the company. You will be expected to move quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing environment. You will need to remain up to date on regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review loan documents and closing packages to ensure accuracy of information and loan compliance
  • Stay abreast of changing policies and SOPs to ensure continued program compliance
  • Support the legal department

Qualifications

  • Must hold a college degree
  • 1-2 years of work experience
  • Comfortable managing multiple deliverables at once
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to take on challenges
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
